Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data MoveAlert collects, how we use it, and your rights.

📱 Data Stored Locally (On Your Device)

The following data is stored ONLY on your device and never uploaded to any server:

• Vehicle Information — Name, plate number, vehicle type, photos
• Bluetooth Pairing — Device address and name for your car
• Parking Locations — GPS coordinates of where you parked
• App Settings — Your preferences and configurations
• License/Payment Codes — Your activation codes

🌐 Data Transmitted Online

When you use Live Tracking feature, the following data is transmitted:

🚫 Data We Do NOT Collect

• ❌ Phone numbers
• ❌ Personal identification
• ❌ Contacts or call logs
• ❌ Photos (except vehicle photos you add)
• ❌ Browsing history
• ❌ Location history (only current location for live tracking)
• ❌ Analytics or usage tracking

🔐 Permissions We Request

Permission	Why We Need It
Bluetooth	Detect connection to your car's infotainment system
Location (GPS)	Save parking location & enable live tracking
Background Location	Monitor car while app is closed
Notifications	Alert you when car moves
Foreground Service	Keep monitoring active in background
Camera (optional)	Take photos of your vehicle
Storage (optional)	Select vehicle photos from gallery

💳 Payment Processing

We use third-party payment processors:

• ToyyibPay — For Malaysian users (RM payments)
• Stripe — For international users (USD payments)

Payment information (card details, banking info) is handled entirely by these processors. MoveAlert does not store or have access to your payment details.

👨‍👩‍👧 Family Sharing & Live Tracking

When you use Live Tracking:

• Other family members with the same vehicle registered can see the car's location
• They can see who is currently driving (driver name you set)
• Location is only broadcast when the driver's phone is in the car with Bluetooth connected
• You can stop broadcasting at any time by disabling tracking

🗑️ Data Deletion

You have full control over your data:

• Vehicle Data — Delete anytime from app settings
• Photos — Remove individually from vehicle details
• All Data — Uninstall app to remove all local data
• Live Tracking Data — Automatically overwritten/deleted from Firebase

👶 Children's Privacy

MoveAlert is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

🔄 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
